A Ribbon Cutting and a Milestone

Today the Chamber came out to officially welcome us into her fold. Such ceremony is a time, if there is one, to reflect and to look ahead.  While I'm a student of "the present", I think looking back gives us perspective, and looking forward, inspiration.  These two combine to encourage, respectively, innovation and exploration.  Such are the pursuits of the entrepreneur.  Quite frightening at times, really, and never boring.  Addictive, maybe.

As Kathryn cut the ribbon, I considered how much we had accomplished in such a short time.  Kathryn, for one, has poured her heart and complete energy into the project. Her ability to focus is enviable.  But I digress.  The point is that we have made great inroads into creating a new kind of resource for those touched -- or who will be touched -- by the magic of Boerne.

Alas, we cross a threshold into the next phase of Boerne Today; that which involves the development of a solid and exclusive team of contributors.  We seek truth and balance in our reports, whether covering those who are making a difference in our community, events that shape our culture, or the characters who season our local population.

If you acknowledge that our society faces great challenge and possess a faith in our spirit to overcome such challenge, then consider joining the movement.  You may be able to write provocative citizen profiles, or cover one of our annual community events from a unique angle.  Maybe you can contribute several times weekly on our blog.  Or share your expertise on native landscape design or maintenance through an interactive Q&A page.

In any case, drop us a note and tell us what's on your mind.  Your input is invaluable.

To conclude, we appreciate the Boerne Chamber of Commerce staff for today's welcoming gesture. Thanks to you, the reader, for helping shape our future by encouraging and gently guiding us.

God bless,
